i was recently working on a patch which loaded 3D models using jit.gl.model. i ran into problems when working with obj files created in lightwave. due to the nature of the project, i was not making the models myself, so i can only make assumptions about that part of the process.

firstly, i struggled to get them to load properly. this was fixed by opening the files with cheetah3d and re-exporting as obj files.

secondly, once loaded in the max patch, certain texgen modes in jit.gl.texture would cause these textures to disappear from the object (texgen none and viewspace).

has anyone encoutered these problems before? i doubt it's max patch related as other files which i made with cheetah 3d work as expected... i can only assume it's related to the way lightwave exports the obj file format, maybe the texture coordinates are proprietary to lightwave software? any advice or comments are welcome!
