I am using [exportimage name.png] message to a jit.matrix to export to a file. It works well, but it saves the file where ever it wants... So, I want to add a path to save the file in a specific location [/Users/Documents/Photos/name.png] but I get an error: exportimage: invalid file path (error -43) I have tried several ways of writing the path, with no luck!

If the example path name you gave is the actual one you are using, it appears to be lacking a username directory (the directory within the Users/ directory).

The error can also crop up when the path name is not wrapped in quotes so max cannot parse it correctly. Use [tosymbol] to wrap your path+file name in quotes...

Also I found that when using [sprintf] to combine path and name you have to give it an symout argument (otherwise again the -43 error can also crop up).

you can also easily get correct pathnames via opendialog...

Thank you all! It was the dumbest thing! I manage tu save it using relative path after looking at MRMAARTEN patch!! I knew it was something simple! :D
