I have a polyphonic midi sampler which has a little problem in that when the sample is played at a higher pitch it, naturally, shortens the length of the sample. Time stretching is the only option except within the Poly~ a groove~ and sig~ change the pitch of the sample, so to use a phase vocoder at the end of that chain, I.e. after the groove, creates difficulty especially if the example phase vocoder is used.

I've stuck the example phase vocoder at the end of the poly~ patch (posted below) - i just need a bit of help to attach the right things to the settings of the phase vocoder so the midi keyboard still plays the right notes but all the samples are the same length.

would gizmo~ help in this case? change pitch without changing the length?

the gizmo_loadme pfft seems to have worked although it takes up much more CPU. I've had to half the amount of voices so there's no crackling.

tried the different FFT sizes? Sometimes halving that will save enough CPU (set to 2048 versus 4096). Also the latency setting (at least on my card) is a big indicator, if it's less than around 40-50 ms I generally get crackling too. So if it's not totally rhythmically exact, using a higher latency like 100 ms will allow me to use good FFT sizes and keep at 44.1 kHz sampling rate. Anyway, just some thoughts, plenty of tradeoffs to tweak, especially if the big push is for many voices.
