[tk.wii] Can we use several wiimotes?

I know there might only be a few people on the forum working with the wiimote but anyway…

I’m using the tk.wii patch to interface my wiimote with max msp and it works great.

The problem is I need to use two wiimotes…
And I can’t get the two of them to work at the same time…
It only picks up one at a time, not always the same on for some reason…

Any idea/solution?

Hello,

The best thing is maybe to contact Takeru Kobayashi, directly from the
tk.wii homepage: http://ether.tw/blog/?cat=20.

Also I made some experiments with the Wiimote, tk.wii and Jitter:

Merci Bertrand.
Your experiments look cool.
You’re only using one wiimote though…

I did contact your man Takeru Kobayashi but haven’t had an answer yet…

I would be very interested in knowing if you can use two
wiimotes as well. If you do get a hold of Mr. Kobayashi,
please let us know what he says.

Thanks,
Anthony

I’ll see if I can find another wiimote and try it.
>From the tk.wii help file, it does not look like there
is a way you can specify which one to connect to.

Hi,

I just got an answer from takeru kobayashi:

“HI JC,

Now version does not support multiple.
However, the new version supports.
Please wait a little now because I produce it.

takeru kobayashi”

That’s what I was expecting…
I think the aka.wiimote works with several wiimotes (up to 4), but it’s not available for windows users…

I got a new email from takeru kobayashi.

He uploaded a new version of the tk.wii that supports the Nunchuk, the Classic Controller, and multiple wiimotes.

YAY!

you can get it here:

http://ether.tw/blog/?p=90

I haven’t tested it yet, but probably will tonight!

Hey Anthony,

Have you tried it?

I couldn’t make both wiimotes work at the same time…

Anyone?

Yes it works! It is prertty awesome, my radio batton
dreams have finally come true. It took a bit of coaxing
to get the Blue Soliel control panel to see and connect
both wiimotes, but once connected tk.wii was able to
recieve data from both.
