To view and quickly edit an audio routing

November 7, 2006 | 9:01 pm

Dear all,
I’m looking for some solution to visualize and quickly edit a "chain of ‘n’ effects".

I would have "X" audio-in channels, "Y" insert-effects and 2 audio-out channels.

For instance, if I have a configuration that routes the audio-in-1 into effect-1 that goes into effect-2 that goes to audio-outs, I would like some graphical interface for quickly changing the order of these effects, or even changing them with other effects.

Some drag’n'drop system maybe?
Some Jitter abstraction?

I don’t like matrix~, because changing an audio routing like this one is too much complicated (3 or 4 steps).

Thanks,
Bruno

you can use an ubumenu which has the source or destination, and use
send~ and receive~ and use ubumenu to ‘prepend set’ the destination
for receieve~ or send~

This is a pretty nice strategy.
