Recently I have been looking into CLAM (http://clam-project.org/). There is a nice function called Tonal Analysis which does a bunch of things I’d like to use for a project (http://clam-project.org/wiki/Network_Editor_tutorial#Tonal_Analysis).

However, I can’t seem to find anything similar which is done in Max.

Do any of you know something?

Hmmmm those are some very cool analysis tools. I imagine it would
be possible to do that in Max, but I don’t know of anyone that has.

Modal Object Library…

http://www.vjmanzo.com/clients/vincemanzo/modal_change/

Provides a good tool box to get started.

many of these things sound familiar … fft, constantQ, b-format2-16, hrtf filtering via
deconvolution … sounds all like (more or less) easily creatable in max.

making little modules in maxmsp is also easy using bpatcher … of course messaging
and signaling in max will always be like it is in max …

the tonal stuff you are looking for is interesting indeed. i really would like to have access
to such data right now.^^

Does anyone in here have the Artificial Tango library for Max? I’d like to check out some of the externals (especially at.chord and at.tonic).

We have been in contact with the author of the externals, he says he does not provide Max externals anymore :(
