I'm trying to setup a patch with pitch detection. So I did a bit of googling on the subject and a lot of pages have come up about fiddle~

For some if I try to put fiddle~ into an object box, it says it can't find the object.

After some more looking, I read about sigmund~, that it is supposed to be an updated version of fiddle~ but that object can't be found either.

Is there something that I have missed? Do the objects need to be downloaded from somewhere and loaded into Max before using them? Are the results out of date and there is now another way of doing pitch detection? I searched through Max help but couldn't find anything on the subject.

Those are third party externals, meaning you need to download them. Go check out maxobjects.com they should all be there. then put them into the max searchpath and you are good to go. Good luck.
