trying to get usb microphone input, any help?

I’m creating a compositional patch for the rock band video game instruments and support for the microphone is ideal to have the full package. Anyone have any success getting signals from usb microphones?

Make an “Aggregate Device” in your Audio Midi setup and include the built in speakers and microphone as part of the aggregate. Then select Aggregate Device from the DSP setup window and pick your USB mic from the I/O setup at the bottom of the DSP window. Worked for me. Don’t know why.

At least on the Mac there will never be a problem with that (I just
guess everybody who tried had success with it, including me… ;-)

I suppose you are on Windows, because you ask…
But it should also work as with any other audio interface (Max is a
professional environment, most people use external interfaces…)

What did you try, which Mic are you considering? (These are the most
important infos to get more info btw… ;-)
