Please forgive me in advance if this has been asked before. I'm totally hopeless when it comes to this sort of thing because I'm new to all of this. I'm currently using a Line 6 Toneport GX so i can record guitar tracks in Garageband. Is it possible to use my guitar tone from Guitar Rig( in Garageband) with effects in Max 5 (e.g. a stuttering effect) and if it is, how would I go about that? Again, sorry if I seem like a total newbie. Any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe you could route the audio out of Garage Band into Max? That should be fairly easy to do using sound flower:
