I have read elsewhere on the forum that Leopard trashes the temp files created by a standalone:

I would like to know if and when this problem may or may not be fixed. It's of course fine for those of us that are using patches, but it presents a bigger problem when standalones are released into the population.

Another thing I'd like to hear about, would be what to do in the case of renaming Standalones. As it is right now, it would seem that if the user renames a standalone, it will always crash on restart.
