I am working on a quite simple patch, with some audiofile players with it’s volume, eq, pan etc…
All the files i need to use are in the same folder than the patch itself and i am using.
This is what i do:
Some of the sounds i am using are inside folders for better organization. Here it comes the problem. How do i manage to use ubumenu to access those subfolders? The perfect would be to not have to pop up dialog boxes in order to enter a new folder, neither to have to enter mannually every subfolder i want to access. But a dynamic self-adaptable system, like a normal file browser… without pop-up windows that cut my sound etc..
I am sure someone had to work this out before, thus i ask for advice on it.
Thank you very much for your time.
All the best.

I just discovered that ubumenu can receive a command called “depth” that makes it show items inside subfolders.
It had to exist :D
sending a “depth 2″ message will show up to 2 subfolders (i think) in the ubumenu itself.
So this is what i needed.
Thank you anyway.

You just discovered that your Max version is too old for that, try 4.5.7…

My version of MAX is 4.3 and the depth message works, let me paste an example.
This is ubumenu getting populated by the files in it’s same folder, including subfolders with a depth of 2 levels. Made on max 4.3 and working without problems.
All the best.
