umenu crash

Hello

Perhaps somebody has already came across this issue before. I believe
some time ago reported some problems with umenu, but I can’t remember
them. After some search in the forum I haven’t read any comments
about it.

It seems that max crashes when umenu is filled with a chain of items
bigger than its max number of itemts atribute….

Below is a patch that shows a procedure to reproduce the thing.
