How might I turn this into a proper expression?

This was my attempt and there are probably a number of things wrong with it:

$s is a placehold for a table's name, and should be used with an index, like this: $s1[anIndex]. I don't think it's what you want (have a look in

Use rather this: expr $i2*(pow($i1,2)) + $i1*$i3 + $i4 if you only need integers. If you want tu use floats, replace all $i occurrences with $f.
