Unexpected results for td.ripples and td.fisheye

I’m working my way thru testing various texdisplace shaders. Wesley already acknowledged a prob with td.twirl in another thread. Perhaps these problems are related. Both td.ripples and td.fisheye render nothing in the bottom-left quadrant. Also td.fisheye seems to require an unusually large signcurvature value to get much effect. Mac Pro, OS1-.6.8, Max 6, Radeon 5870.

These are fixed for 6.0.2. Since you’re going through the texdisplace shaders, have you considered working with jit.gl.pix? It’s really the best and most flexible option for GPU image processing.

Thanks, Wesley! WOW… jit.gl.pix looks like a crazy-good GPU treasure chest. I didn’t track its arrival with Max 6. I’ll dive in shortly. Are there any other resources (tutorials, articles, etc.) for learning to harness this beside the object’s help patcher and reference files?

If the documentation window, you can search for Gen and you’ll find a host of docs on what Gen is all about. jit.gl.pix is one of the Jitter Gen objects. Have a read through the Gen Overview
