wondering if any one else out there has had problems using USB mics with recording video. I've tested about 3 USB mics now (MXL boundery, Snowflake, and a Samson USB)as the audio source and a Pansonic video camera using Firewire into my 6 month old Macbook Pro to capture movie clips. I'm using the jit.qt.grab 'write' function, recording directly to a hard drive. I'm choosing the USB as the sound source without any compression, and recording the video as DV.

What's happening is that in all cases the audio portion of the movie clip I've recorded is slightly delayed from the video portion. I've monitored the CPU activity and it doesn't seem to overloaded. I'm NOT using the 'preview' function while recording. It's really bumming me out cause these mics sound great.

Added note: in my testing, I also tried seeing if the internal mic(as well a line in) on my Macbook pro would have latency issues. And low and behold----it does!. And suggestions out there???
