use coll refer via newinstance()

July 17, 2007 | 1:53 pm

Hi,
(sorry for my poor english)
I’m a little bit confused about how to use newinstance() and I would
like to ask some questions.

If I create a coll object in my code via the newinstance() function,
is it possible to let this coll use the refer function (named colls
share the same data) to let the content of my "internal" coll appear
inside other colls in the patch?

Thank you
Patrice

Finaly,I figured it out:

///////////////////////////////////////////////
t_atom argu;
argu.a_type = A_SYM;
argu.a_w.w_sym = gensym("myfile.col");

t_object *my_coll = newinstance(gensym("coll"),1,&argu);
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

All coll in my patch with "myfile.col" as arguments share the same
file with my instance.
