Useful data from an orchestra.

March 14, 2007 | 6:31 pm

Hi all,

I am currently undertaking a large Max/Jitter project involving taking the audio from orchestral music and using that data to manipulate video. My question is: Can anyone point me in the direction of any useful objects that can be used to gather data from the audio. This could possibly include any sort of spectral analysis objects or patches (fft…etc.). I’m looking for objects other than the obvious envelope followers and transient detectors (ie bonk~). Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

After reading the paper on FTM, it seems to be exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks much!
