Using a mic input for Jitter Tutorial 28

February 11, 2009 | 7:08 pm

Hi, I am modifying the jitter tutorial 28 – audio control of video. I want the audio to be sourced from the mic rather than a soundfile – can anyone help? it’s quite urgent. I am only just starting with max & jitter so please don;t assume I know anything! ;)

Thanks

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by this? As choosing sound input wont work, even though other patches (maxtunes) work with the mic..

Cheers

In the patch, there is a "Sound Source" menu. Select "Sound Input". Of course, you must also "turn audio on", for instance from the window in Options -> DSP Status.
If it doesn’t work, try MSP tutorial 1. Does everything work there?

it works now! thanks for your help, I didn’t really change anything it just started working. Now I can’t work out how to have it displayed in an external window like in some of the example patches, one that I can make fullscreen.
