Using Kontakt 4 as a plug in?

I’m a newbie (well, someone returning to Max after 15 years – back when it used to be with Opcode.)

I’m trying to put a front end together for running a number of Komplete 6 plug-ins in performance. Having some success with FM8 and Massive.

But Kontakt 4 isn’t being recognized as a VST plug-in. When I noticed the same things happening with Absynth 5, I thought it might be the space in the middle of the name. I tried renaming the .vst file as just ‘Kontakt’. It loaded properly, but soon crashed when I tried to use it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Michael Starobin

did you try opening it as “Kontakt 4.vst” rather than kontakt 4.vst? you need the speech marks if theres a space, i think
