Using matrixctrl to create a tempo

April 15, 2009 | 4:27 pm

This may be a very obvious question, but I haven’t used matrixctrl object much at all. But is there a way to use it to create a tempo. For example

If I had 1 row and 4 columns, if filled in each of those 4 columns by clicking, could i create a 4/4 tempo which i could then apply to a sample.

Sort of digital conducting

Hmm not a great description

But any help would go a long way

Thanks and All the best

Dave

You mean use it as a sequencer?

Here’s a patch I made that triggers MIDI sounds, it’s not too complex, the idea could be taken a lot further, in fact if you read the whole thread a few people made improvements.
