Is there a way to keep the gate closed for a certain amount of time. Is there a object that sends 0′s for x amount of msec?

#P newex 116 234 29 196617 gate;
#P newex 116 127 31 196617 t 0 b;
#P newex 137 152 61 196617 delay 1000;
#P button 116 106 15 0;
#P connect 0 0 2 0;
#P fasten 5 0 4 0 142 201 121 201;
#P connect 2 0 4 0;
#P connect 4 0 3 0;

Please work through the Tutorials, because “sends 0′s for x amount of
msec” is a fundamental misunderstanding about how Max works. (Not MSP,
mind you, Max.) I believe gate is covered near the beginning.
