Using video signal from other computer? Blackmagic Intensity question,
Hello.
I am planning to connect two jitter(macbook pro)s to exchange video signal while they are sending out each processed videos.
since macbook pro has one mini-display output, how can I input and out put video signal at the same time from Jitter? I need external video input from another computer into Jitter.
I tried to use jit.net but it is way too slow to send videos.
Is there any hardware to do this?
I will only mix processed video to multiply with video from another computer. maybe use multiply-blending VJ hardware (maybe need 2 because each multiply result will be different..
thinking to but Blackmagic Intensity, does this hardware do this except capturing HD video input?
how will this hardware send video into macbook? if I am already using minidisplay port for video output?
thanks
Hi,
I have had pretty good results using jit.broadcast on two machines on the same network. After a while they actually run n'sync. There wasn't much processing going on but it ran smooth. Couldn't get audio to work though.

Thanks, I will test it.
I am not sure because I am using live video input.
Hi FRid,
could you share a patch you are using with jit.broadcast?
does it work differently with jit.net.*? for sending video signal.
many thanks
Hi,
Here it is, you have to fill in the adress by yourself because this is generated by jit.broadcast and it's unlikely you'll have the same ip as me.
Good luck,
FRid
I gave it a test-run again but it seems less smooth as before, it "stutters" sometimes. But i guess this is more dependent on internet-settings than cpu/ram.
