Hi,
I released the VIZZable suite of Max for Live VJ patches earlier this year. More recently Fabrizio Poce has released his V-Module video plugins and by a lucky coincidence both video suites are interoperable.

I’ve spoken to Fabrizio and we’d like to raise the idea of merging these projects and building a community around developing a big, open, suite of stable and powerful video tools for live.

Currently the projects are hosted here-
VIZZable: http://zealousy.com/2011/01/vizzable/
V-Module: http://fabriziopoce.com/max.html

If we can get more people involved we may look at hosting the project somewhere else (google code, github or whatnot)

Chime in if you have any thoughts and please direct anyone you think might be interested in being involved in this project to this thread!

Thanks,
Bob.

Hi,

Fabrizio here. Some agenda points / open questions for the short term:

- Where do you think should we host the project?
- Which is in your opinion the best/right place to use as “home” for this community?

We really need to have people open for testing things out! Getting things stable is a matter of testing multiple setups. So be welcome to join this community and let’s see if we can make these tools better and more stable.

Ciao

Fabrizio

I think these are two great projects. Would be happy to help with testing.
I only tried Vizzable so far, but was really liking the possibilities.

I’m based in Berlin, not sure if anyone else is.

Just to coordinate a bit “memberships” (otherwise rather untraceable via the forum) I have created a Google group “JitterInMax4Live”:

If you are on Mac you can use this (in combination with VIZZable and V-Module if you like):

http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=949

On windows you need to modify the device using jit.openni.

Cheers
Fabrizio
