Variable Speed Counter

March 30, 2011 | 7:31 pm

Hi,

Im trying to make a simple patch which will set the speed and direction of a counter. The patch will feed into jitter’s handle rotation so in order for the rotation to be smooth i need counter to output consecutive numbers- i cant just multiply whatever comes out of a counter.

Id really appreciate it if someone would take a look at my patch and see if they can throw some light onto how i should proceed. Im running into problems as whenever i send my metro a 1 it sends another bang out to the counter thus when scrubbing around the midpoint the counter counts really fast- that will be more clear looking at the patch.

I had thought to use zl to group my 1′s and 0′s into a list and only update the metro when this list changes but this seemed overly complicated and made my head hurt.

Anyhow im rambling if anyone could look at my patch it would be a great help.

Thanks
