video stream into max from html page

September 19, 2013 | 5:50 am

hello,

i bought an ip camera which has no direct access to a stream ip address.
all i can do is type in the address http://10.0.0.12/index_framed.htm. then i can see the video of the camera with all the control functions (attached picture). i tried everything possible with the jit.qt.movie object (read http://, read rtsp://) with all the messages i found here in the forum but nothing worked in any case. then i tried the vlc player with a script and to type in an url into quicktime but nothing. then i called the company and the they told me that it’s not possible to get a direct stream from the cam. so i wanted to take a look at the source code of the homepage but there are too many javascript files. for me it seems that they get access to the video stream over java script.
is there anybody who could help me out to get this stream into max maybe with java script?
thank you very much!
moali

p.s: i could post some javascript files of the page as well…

Maybe with jit.desktop ?

BTW, your topic is rather a jitter thing than a Max thing. You may get more relevant answers there.

thanks for your reply!
this is one good possibility. but i forgot to write that i’m using 8 cameras and so i have 8 tabs open in my safari. so this solution might not work perfect for me.
