Voice Pitch detector?

bit of a newbie but im wondering if max/msp could be used to detect the pitch of human voice and assign it a particular colour according to that note…al in real time?!

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey, if you download Miller Pluketts fiddle object~

This will do what you want. I built a similar patch using an entire grid of morphing frequencies.

You should be able to clean this up using some filters. Also you could bring down the sentitivity by using change after fiddles output, or by simply using an int box instead of a float.
