does someone know how I could send raw midi data from a Motor Mix to a VST synth which wants Modulation Wheel midi data?

Thanks Anthony, I figured this, but with the vst.help there is a ‘set value of numbered parameter’ Inside the message box are two figures. The first one to select the parameter and the second one for the value. If I want to control the value from outside, how do I chose the parameter and independently control the value?
thanks

simply once you have your “outside” controller received in max, you
choose the controller you want (modulation wheel, any CC, note on ,
velocity, anything), take the incoming data and prepend the number of
the vst parameter you want to control

there is no need to worry if it is a modulation wheel or anything
else – even if i belive you can do that (in which case the list of
needed numers is somewhere in the max pdf, in the same family where
you see how 144 is a note on on channel 1)

but a simple [prepend] box will do

best
