Want to use the mouswheel for controlling the playback of a movie

HI all,

i want to attach a mousewheel to a bicyclewheel (like a dynamo). The attached mousewheel should be the trigger for scrubbing a qt-movie forwards and backwards. As long as I roll the wheel in one direction the movie is playing forward; when i roll the wheel in the other direction movie plays – what a surprise – backwards. If the wheel stands still, the movie should pause.

nesa, big thanks for the link.

sadly max gives me an “error 126 loading external mwheel”.

i am running max 4.6.2 on a windows machine

any help would be great

‘error 126′ usually means that one of the libraries required is
missing. This one is compiled with msvcr80.dll, so you should have
this file in the folder where max.exe resides. Mail me offlist if you
need further help.
