Webcam image problem.

October 4, 2011 | 9:37 pm

I need help figuring out what the problem is with the image. The webcam works fine in general or in other applications and there is some motion in the image if I move in front of the camera.

It's connected to the default built-in camera of a Lenovo g560.

(See.. this is me in the webcam image.)

Thanks in advance!

this info is from the help file

GENERAL NOTE: you should perform a full install of QuickTime prior to using Jitter’s jit.qt set of objects.

WINDOWS USERS: jit.qt.grab requires the use of a 3rd party vdig. We recommend either WinVDIG (free) or the Abstract Plane VDIG:

You need to use the [qmetro] object for starters, with a value like 30 so: [qmetro 30] then have a toggle on in the left input and a playspeed value in the right, such as 0.5/1/2 etc.

For windows, I recommend using jit.dx.grab instead of the QT version you have. In general, there is richer support for DX than QT on windows.

If you use jit.dx.grab and qmetro, do you have the same problem? If you do, look at the Extras meny in Max for JitterTester and try to get the camera to work there. You might discover a setting/option that you need to use in your patch.

The only thing needed to be changed was instead of jit.qt.grab the jit.dx.grab.

Thanks to all for your help!
