Webpage

Hi,
Is there a possibility to read the text/ html code of a Webpage and search it for certain defined keywords, and bring the text/ Symbols back into max for further evalutation?

Are there any externals for that if not within MaxMSPJitter?

Example: you would enter the webpage of a weatherforcaster and search for "temperature" and bring the values of the displayed Temperature back into Max as a number or symbol.

Thanks for support

Look at [jit.uldl] to download the html code of a webpage, you can store it in [jit.textfile] and search it with [jit.str.regexp]. You might also want to look at [detox] which parses xml-like files. It is an external object and can be found here:

I threw together something for a student last term which you can snag
at http://incendiaryarts.org/program/Kevin.zip. Look at the
subpatchers in the -Kevin patch.
