What ever happened to Max 5?

What ever happened to Max 5?

I don’t mean to be a pest but…it’s been over 4 months since the last Max 5 article and no one seems to be talking about it much in the forumns. I thought Max 5 was going to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2008?

What’s the latest news about it’s release? Did all the round corner haters ruin it for the rest of us?

Anyways, consider me SUPER excited about its release! I just hope to see it soon!

Yes, we are all very excited, and it is hard to wait patiently. Especially after reading yet another post mentioning how some bug is fixed in Max 5 or some feature request is in Max 5. I’m trying not to think about it too much, makes it a bit easier to wait. Maybe that’s why it’s not being discussed.

I’m sure C74 wants to release it ASAP and is working very hard to make that happen. I’m hoping it’ll be any week now, but who knows?

I AM an elf (not a Cycling ’74 elf).

These things always take longer than we think. My experience is that the
elves at Cycling ’74 will not disappoint.

Just like a duck gliding along the surface of a serene lake, there’s a
flurry of activity you don’t see, below the surface.

I’m quietly excited too but I am using this time and energy to compose music
with 4.6.3. :-)

1st quarter means one more week, right?
So, let’s wait and see.
And in case they are late, next time, they won’t announce a date!

Be patient, it’s a though work to rewrite a program as big as Max is, and at the same time maintain some backwards compatibility. I’m sure it will be worth the wait ^_^

And he’s keeping a list of who’s naughty and nice. Unless you want a bucket of coal instead of Max 5, better be nice to vade…

I was really good this year, I swear!
