i want to use the same maths as overdrive~ uses to distort a signal input, but with non signal objects. i'm writing into a buffer~ using peek~, and i want to get the nice transition from triangle thru sine to square that overdrive~ gives you, but to do this with floats, not signal. so what equation does overdrive~ use?

what is the maths behind overdrive~?
