Whats the Windows Version of jit.qt.movie

April 4, 2011 | 10:12 pm

Hi there i was working on a mac at school and now have to work on my pc at home. My patch uses multiple jit.qt.movie objects into videoplanes. However it doesn’t seem to be showing the videos on the videoplanes although i do hear the sound. Im guessing this is because qt is for mac and not windows . I have the latest quicktime updates and all so I was wondering which object is the windows version for jit.qt.movie

Hi,

qt is for Windows and Mac, the jit.qt.movie object works fine on Windows, provided you have all the updates as you mentioned. Try patching to the jit.pwindow object and see if your video works. Check the help file for additional information. This object can be included in any patch, however there is a similar object (jit.window) which opens a separate window for videos.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
