When I use this patch to record piano live (chords, fast notes...), sometimes there are little "pops", and I can´t find why this happens. Any idea?

Nobody? I can´t find where is the problem.

I tested it out and it didn't seem too poppy. When I added send chucker "fademode 2" (post fade mode) it seems less poppy.

Just one thing: at Max Window there is a message that says that chucker~ "doesn´t understand "fademode"". Also I don´t see the "fademode" message at max help. Where does "fademode" come from?

It's the dropdown menu on the lefthand side of the help file.

Post-fade sends the message "fademode 2" to chucker~. Rather than have the menu, you can just send that (through a message box).

pid incorporated a ton of good stuff into the patch so I'd go with that.

Yes, I understand that, I´m not explaining correctly (my english is not very good, I´m sorry). What I mean is:

- Why does appears at Max Window this warning: "chucker~ doesn´t understand "fademode""?

- Why do you know that chucker~ would accept the message "fademode"? At max help I haven´t seen that message.

And yes, there is a lot of good stuff, I´m going to learn a lot from this help, I am very grateful :-)

What version of max do you have? I just noticed that the chucker.help on my laptop doesn't show 'fademode' where my iMac does.

My laptop has 5.1.8 on it. I'm pretty sure my desktop has 5.1.9 on it.

No problem. It was only when I was checking the forum on my laptop that I noticed the discrepancy.

chucker~ was rewritten from the ground up and finally released in Max version 5.1.9 with brilliant new features (e.g. fademodes) and better everything throughout. thanks thanks thanks to mr darwin grosse. and i think thanks to mr darren cowley as well who found some bugs and nagged in the best spirit.

I´m going to abuse of your kindness ;-) Is there any way to do that replacing buffer~ not be "clearing" the previous content in the buffer? I mean: I would like that if I have something stored in a buffer~, when I record something new in the same buffer~ it doesn´t replace abruptly, but sample by sample. Is it possible? It´s for the same patch of this thread.

Here I am again. Now I´m trying to do the same patch but with poke~. My goal is that I can replace the content of the buffer smoothly. But I have a lot of "pops" again, and I don´t know what to do:
