I was wondering if my 'Wiimote Beatbox' project might be any use to you? Maybe you could use some bits of it?

The project was made with the idea of having a mic in one hand, and a Wiimote in the other.... the main features are:

* Automatic truncation of samples after you record them

* 4 'hard record' FX settings for your voice samples to be processed through

* Built in bass synth - playable with Wiimote

* Sequencer section for voice samples and bass synth (including auto quantise)

* Built in 808 drum machine with preset patterns (including 1 user bank)
