to begin im using the ajh.wiiremote external to recieve data from my wiimote, the IR sensor input output values from -1,1 on the xaxis to -1,1 on the yaxis.

what i wanna do is map the IR values to amplitudes of 4 samples so that each corner has a sample at 100% volume, and it decreases to 0& when at the alternate corner, i tried just scaling the various inputs, put ive found that as soon as the volume is effect by the xaxis movement, a change in the yaxis will cause it to jump back to a high level

Ive posted the patch im using, so the main Wii patch is from ajh, my own addition is within the p ir subpatch in the main one, and then the p irtoamps

i know not all of ye will have wiimotes to hand to try this, just any idea on how ican combine the x,y data to properly adjust volumes would be great
