However, after I downloaded and installed it and uninstalled it and reinstalled it again and again I’ve only had the same result again and again – each time I try to launch max 6 once it’s installed, the computer almost immediately goes into a blue screen for about two sections (the most I can make out of the details is the frightening sounding kernal_exception) before reseting itself. I’ve only use Max on os x before so I’m not sure if this is a windows thing or specifically a windows 8 thing or what, but I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.

On a quick look at their “News” page, I notice their most recent announcement regarding Windows was that they were supporting Windows 7.
