The default maximum length for lists is 256. In order to increase this, you can supply an additional parameter. For instance [zl 1000 group].

there are 512 values given from [random] but from the [zl group 512] object thy come out as 2 lists of 256 values. And that is weird! maybe it is an bug at the [zl group] object.

[zl 512 group] not [zl group 512]

…or [zl 512 group 512]. Probably the interpolating needs to be done with two list-interpolate objects, as they most likely will be limited to 256. Slice off half with [zl 512 slice 256].

Linterp in the Lobjects collection may also be helpful.

nope, it’s behaving correctly. it gets the first 256 random values and collects it into a list of 256, outputs it, then repeats. so yes, you need to specify the length by saying [zl 512 group]. it’s in the help file but is easy to overlook.

for interpolation, you could also take the output list and [prepend setlist] to [multislider], then use [pattr] on the [multislider].

Hello seejayjames,

for interpolation, you could also take the output list and [prepend setlist] to [multislider], then use [pattr] on the [multislider].

i learned (thanks philippe OLLIVIER) few days ago that you don’t need [multislider] :
[pattr] can do it alone …
