Zoom In and Zoom Out Settings

November 15, 2009 | 4:28 pm

I prefer one of my patches to retain a certain zoom setting when I open it. Is there any way to set this in patcher preferences? I can’t really find a way to do this. Thanks.

I was wondering about this too. I couldn’t find anything on thispatcher or the inspector for the main patch about zoom levels.

As far as I know, there isn’t a way to do that. However, if you select everything you want to zoom and turn on scale in the Edit menu you can just drag to resize everything at once, keeping the layout the same, if that makes sense.

Best way to know what I’m on about is to try it!

In max 5.1 you can use the message zoomfactor to thispatcher.

edit : btw, does anyone know what the message "deviceheight" to [thispatcher] is supposed to do? and is there a way to move the scrollbars after we zoomed in?

Excellence! This produces exactly the kind of results I was looking for:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

note that the cellblock doesn’t zoom, its cells remain the same size
