Arvum4L Granular Synthesizer

This is my first Max for Live project which I started developing in July 2013. Though there are many granular synthesizers available, I wanted to make a simple, lightweight, yet dynamic synth which gives the user in depth control of the synthesis. The synth is monochromatic (one sample buffer) and the user can control parameters such as grain size (ms), grain density (Hz), and tempo synchronized glitch effects. All sounds and parameters used can be saved with the Live set. Let me know what you guys think!

Specs:
-5 voice polyphonic granular synthesizer
-monochromatic (single sample based)
-Standard ADSR envelope generator and instrument tuning controls
-choice of four grain windowing functions (hanning, triangle, cosine, freehand draw).
-control over grain duration, frequency, and sample start point randomization.
-synchronize grain frequency to Live’s tempo clock.
-save patch state with your live set.

Just drag a sound file from your Mac or Windows finder and start tweaking the settings (Still working on funky behavior with Live’s internal finder). Hope you guys enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.

How was MAX used?
