Elburz & nVoid Art-Tech Limited

June 23rd, 2012
Om Festival 2012, Canada

We’ve worked closely with the electronic composer and performer, Elburz, for his latest show: Escape. Mixing all styles of electronic music, from techno, bass music, ambient, all the way to avant electronic-classical, Elburz’s works required a unique and organic method of performance and visualization.

nVoid Art-Tech Ltd has created the audio-responsive generative visuals, projections, as well as a customized and fully in-sync live performance environment for Elburz to work within. This system is based around Deriviative’s Touch Designer, Ableton Live 8, and Cycling 74′s Max 6.

To the right is the trailer for show, and below is behind the scenes setup of the show.

How was MAX used?

Max For Live was used on each of the bus channels to convert audio signals into OSC messages that drive visual effects and parameters, as well as being an integral part of the Touch Designer Ableton Sync Environment. (See behind the scenes video)
