Composing Performance: Liu Hao(εζ)
The composer tries to express his feelings about the mysterious moon by the ipod/touch in his hand on stage in a totally interactive real-time way. You may hear something bizarre is happening on the moon, flash light, white cloud, black cloud, lunar crater etc..
How was MAX used?
By OSC protocol, the ipod\touch transmits its control messages to Max/MSP in real-time through its 3 axis gyro and touch screen. Max/MSP covers the logic control part of the transducer; MSP and Csound as the sound engine. Several other sound synthesis techniques such as granular synthesis has been applied in this piece.

Hey Thanks. Really good range of sounds. Was that guy in the background next to the laptop selecting the sound synthesis types as you moved or were you selecting them somehow as you moved?
