jit.imagefilter

Jit.imagefilter is a simple program that allow you to use jitters visual effects for high quality 2d images. Think of it as being able to create your own photoshop filters.

Directions: Read in an image file Tiff, jpeg, png, etc… The image resolution will automatically change the pixel dimensions of the jit.pwindow… Then add jitter effects “filters” in-between the jit.qt.movie and connect the signal path to the jit.pwindow. To see the results of the effects hit the button at the top of the patch. After image is what you desire go to file export image.

Note: If you click on MaxMSP and go to Preferences then click on the interface tab you can change the Export Image resolution (DPI) anywhere from 72 to 300 dpi warning if the resolution is to high then Max will unexpectedly quit. Normally if the image is for example 20x20inch at 300dpi then exporting a png from max at 300 will normally unexpectedly quit. Try taking down the resolution if this problem keeps on accruing.

How did this project use Max?

The image resolution will automatically change the pixel dimensions of the jit.pwindow... Then add jitter effects "filters" in-between the jit.qt.movie and connect the signal path to the jit.pwindow. To see the results of the effects hit the button at the top of the patch. After image is what you desire go to file export image.
