read16bitmap12x24.bmp is a patcher that encodes a given image-file into a midi song.
Each color value is assigned to a note on a pentatonic scale. The image-input is then scanned from the top left to the bottom right with each pixel triggering its assigned midi note.
Virtually, while listening to the created composition, it would be possible to redraw the image file that was put in.

How was MAX used?

Max was used to output a melody in midi that was later used with Pro-Tools & Kontakt in a a short selfportrait. The finished piece also has a short pretext explaining the algorythm, so that a listener could recreate the encrypted image.

Hey man really like what you’ve done. Would it be possible to upload your patch? I would really like to play around with it and try and expand on what you’ve done. Thanks
