Incremental Downloads

From time to time, objects or extensions for our flagship Max/MSP/Jitter environment are made available between official releases of our software. Should any such files be available, they will be listed on this page, with the most recent items at the top of each section.

Please note that more recent updates are not guaranteed to function with older versions of the software (e.g. installing an update intended for Max 4.5.7 over a 4.5.4 version of MaxMSP). In particular, updates for the MacOS versions of MaxMSP 4.6.x and higher will not function properly with MacOS versions 4.5.x and below, due to changes in the object format.

In general, we recommend the use of the most recent release version of MaxMSP, with any listed updates available for that version (as found on this page).

Jitter

Jitter Updates since Jitter 1.6.3

• jit.uldl update 1 April 2008 for macintosh Jitter 1.6.x. (New, modern backend based on CFNetwork, Tiger- and Leopard-Compatible). This version fixes the endlessly-growing matrix buffer bug in the previous incremental update from November 2007 (removed).

• JitterAPI.framework / jitlib update 13 December 2007 for macintosh Jitter 1.6.3 and windows Jitter 1.6.3. This is an experimental version of the Jitter framework which addresses specific issues (see below). Users not using these Jitter features are advised to continue using the release version of the framework. Note: This release has no installer, and contains manual installation instructions.

  • jit.qt.movie no longer stops drawing in direct-to-window mode, if the window is moved or resized.
  • @unique not longer interferes with @loopreport on Windows.
  • Windows fix for reading movies from Collectives.

  • Fixed numerous stability problems associated with the "asyncread" method of jit.qt.movie.

• JitterAPI.framework update 19 September 2007 for macintosh Jitter 1.6.3.
