    Babil-on V2 is a performance of augmented musical theater which describes metaphorically the fate of the speech.

    "Chasing LIFE on MAX" goals are:

    • The creation of an instrument to generate automated music
    • The instrument must be nonetheless playable by a human musician through:
      • the run-time tweaking of its parameters
      • the real-time use of its MIDI output
      • the use of effects on its audio output.
    • The instrument will be used (played) in a live concert with a "real" musician (a cellist in this case).
    The instrument ("MAX4LIFE") has been designed and coded by Nicola De Bello.

  • This project is a software tool developed in Max/MSP that allows musical elements, specifically in the context of a live performance, to be controlled by human vocal input. This involves the simple real time processing and analysis of numerous aspects of a vocal input, and the use of it to control & perform a musical piece. This project does not involve the direct manipulation of vocals, but instead uses the human voice as a controller to manage functions in real time.
