My problem right now is a failure in logic or math.
Hello! I am brand new to using Max, and I do not have a lot of coding experience unfortunately....
Hi, I have a simple network setup with 4 Mac computers listening to instructions of one Mac via Wifi.
I'm working on a Max + Csound project.
I'm hoping to export a harmonizer patch I've created using gen~.
As there were some requests for this and to give back to the great forum people from which I learned so much, here is a matrix~ like gen script. This is in a codebox, although I wanted to have it as a matrix8.gendsp file, but couldn't get it loaded by gen~.
Hi, Im really new to coding and have only been playing around with C for the last few days.
Hi, I am a Sound Design student looking for some help with my final major project.
I'm starting to get hooked on gen~, but think the patching interface it is more limited than necessary.
I'm experiencing some strange behavior with an object that I found inside a very functional albeit confusing patch that I found a long time ago as part of one of the standard M4L devices included in Live (I think).
Hello A question to ponder at New Year: Has anyone written down any thoughts on the practical longevity of a piece that uses Max? Also, on how controls of a partly Max-based piece might be notated on a musical score? For the last few years, I've been happily performing live, using my own Max patches as part of the sound - a setup that doesn't require me to explain the operation of patches to anyone else.
Hi folks, I'm trying to understand why this doesn't work so perhaps one of you can point out what I'm missing :-) As far as I see there are three possible ways to set the tempo via the Live API: 1) send "set tempo <value>" to a live.object for the live_set. 2) send "set value <value>" to a live.object on the path "live_set master_track mixer_device song_tempo" 3) send <value>/<signal> to a live.remote~ object for the path "live_set master_track mixer_device song_tempo" All three of them change the tempo as displayed in the top left of the screen, but for (3), even though the value is changing visibly, the song continues playing back at a constant tempo.
I've seen examples of using the LOM to determine the file path for the current sample loaded in a Simpler Device.
My brief searching of this subject only turned up a post about saving/loading multiple matrices using jit.matrixset - but I want to do something a little different.
Is there somebody out there who can help me for just a week or two? The project involves: Two loopers with both times the ipoke~ object 200 polys with groove~ (I am sure there is another way...
Hi, there are a couple of reference in the SDK doc to a pattr SDK..
Hi guys! I want to make a patch that uses a mxj component.
