32bit external in 64bit land.

    I like using strcmp2, netsend~, netreceive~ OSCroute.
But they come up as "no such object" in max 64bit, as they are not 64bit ready, perhaps?
Is there a magic wrapper or something that can make these lovely objects work in the 64bit world?

If there were a "magic wrapper" I (and dozens of other third party developers) would love to know about it.
Currently the only "wrapper" known is a serious amount of leg work.

Sounds like the magic wrapper isn't coming to us anytime soon.
"Why won’t my 3rd party externals run inside the 64-bit version of Max?
All Max externals need to be ported and recompiled. An SDK will be forthcoming. In the meantime, we would suggest you try rewriting patches to use standard objects and abstractions if you want to run them in 64-bit, until specific 3rd party objects are ported to 64-bit."

"When will a Max 6.1 3rd party developers kit be made available so that I can port my external to 64-bit?
An SDK will be made publicly available sometime shortly after Max 6.1 is released."

The Max 6.1 SDK (incl x64) has been available for a while
