3d fractal worlds and Max 9's new jitter

Hi everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light whether it's possible for MAX 9 and it's new jitter geometry be able to generate 3d fractal worlds something akin to Mandelbulber and the 3d fractal worlds it can create something like this below?

I'm hoping to create some simple audio reactive 3d fractal worlds to be apart of my Max Msp performances. I'm pretty new to Max. I'm enjoying it and recently I created a live improvisational experimental soundscape piece using Max over some fractal visuals, however the visuals were not mine nor were they audio reactive, so it would be cool to learn how to do this. If Max is far off from doing anything like this, I'm also wondering if there's anyone here with mandelbulb experience who can share any info whether mandelbulb can be integrated with Max. I understand the computing requirements for fractal world generation can be huge, but perhaps simpler more efficient versions an be created to be able to be realtime audio reactive.
