Hi! looping videos in VIDDLL became a problem in 8.1.4 as (for me) videos get stuck towards the end of the video and stop frame output, I am using Pro Res and the same patch runs smoothly in 8.1.3 here a video comparing 8.1.3 vs 8.1.4:

Just discovered that sending (loop 2) to the movies, letting the palindrome loop happen once and then sending (loop 1) fix the issues.

a quick follow up on this. I am seeing a stutter with prores files when looping that was not present in 8.1.3 (as reported). Unfortunately this appears to be the result of updates to the ffmpeg libs rather than anything I've done in viddll, so a clear fix has eluded me.

I will continue to investigate this, and other issues with looping and stalling in viddll, but in the meantime the easiest fix is to use loadram.

simply send the message [ loadram -1 ] to the jit.movie object prior to playback (so make sure you've set @autostart 0, you can then trigger playback with the loadram notification out the dumpout). This will load the final 1 second of the file into the cache, and fix and should fix looping issues.

please let me know if that doesn't fix it for you.

I tried the load ram before but did not @auststart 0, all works fine now! Thanks

yeah it's a little cumbersome but once you lock it down works reliably
